UPDATE ON JIMMY DAVIS HEALTH STATUS
March 23, 2026
Dear Highlanders,
Last November 19, 2025, I posted about our brother Jimmy Davis’ dire health situation following complications from his surgery in September, 2025 that left him bed-ridden and with monumental challenges to face. I appealed to you for prayers and financial support. WELL, FAST FORWARD FOUR MONTHS: I AM SO PLEASED to report that Jimmy has turned the corner and has been making steady progress in his recovery.
He entered a second rehab facility on December 9th and through hard work and effort combined with dedicated staff there, Jimmy progressed enough that on January 22nd he was released to recover further at home which was a blessing itself. Since then, through more determination and perseverance he is uptaking steps with the assistance of a walker. Kudos to Shane Peterson (Class of ’72) for his commitment and dedication to helping Jimmy with his physical therapy at home.
JIMMY AND HIS WIFE DEBBIE WISH TO EXPRESS THEIR HEARTFELT AND PROFOUND GRATITUDE for all the support from the calls, concerns, visits and most of all, prayers and financial generosity from their friends, families and you—his classmates. They know they are truly loved and blessed!!
